Self-Paced training will have a 30 day completion policy, while the Train-the-Trainer program has a 60 day completion policy. This period begins from the day you register for the course. Nevada Cultural Competency has a 30-day policy regarding training attendance. If you are unable to attend a significant amount of training or an entire training session, you must contact Nevada Cultural Competency staff to reschedule and begin a new training offering within 30 days of the date of the missed content. Should you miss a significant amount or a full session of Nevada Cultural Competency, you must retake Nevada Cultural Competency in its entirety. Failure to reschedule and begin a new training session within this 30-day time frame will result in forfeiture of the related registration and registration payment(s). Should you reschedule and miss a significant amount or a full training after rescheduling, your opportunity to retake the training for certification under the same registration and registration payment will be forfeited.

Our self-paced Nevada Cultural Competency training will not include any live sessions. The Train-the-Trainer Program requires participation in our live training, as delivered by NVCC staff and one Q&A session.

Yes, after completing any of our trainings you will receive a certificate of completion!

As part of the Train-the-Trainer program, you will receive credits free of charge for professionals currently covered, if requested. We hope to offer credits for our self-paced course in the future. If your profession is not currently covered, we are happy to provide documents necessary for self-submission

You must apply to the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) and be approved prior to offering training. Upon approval, the training must be offered at your organization for the required time frame of 9 hours.
