Yes, after completing any of our trainings you will receive a certificate of completion! The certificate will include the name registered on your account, the number of hours the training is certified for, and the dates of completion and expiration (if applicable).

Self-paced training will have a 90-day completion policy, while the Train-the-Trainer program has a 60-day completion policy. This period begins on the day you register for the course. Failure to complete the enrolled self-paced training within this 90-day time frame will result in forfeiture of the related registration and registration payment(s).

All Nevada Cultural Competency (NVCC) training purchases are subject to the following refund policy. Refund requests must be submitted within seven (7) days of the original purchase date. Requests received within this timeframe may be eligible for a refund at the discretion of High Sierra Area Health Education Center (AHEC). After the seven-day period has passed, all sales are considered final and no refunds will be issued. Refunds will not be granted for reasons including, but not limited to: Organizational changes in training platforms or systems, scheduling conflicts, employee turnover or staffing changes, failure to attend or complete training, delayed use of purchased training seats. By purchasing or registering for Nevada Cultural Competency training, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees to these terms. High Sierra Area Health Education Center (AHEC) reserves the right to enforce this policy in accordance with the Nevada Cultural Competency Terms of Use.

Our self-paced Nevada Cultural Competency training will not include any live sessions. The Train-the-Trainer Program requires participation in our live training, as delivered by NVCC staff and one Q&A session. If you are unable to attend a significant amount of training or an entire training session, you must contact Nevada Cultural Competency staff to reschedule and begin a new training offering within 90 days of the date of the missed content. Should you miss a significant amount or a full session of Nevada Cultural Competency, you must retake Nevada Cultural Competency in its entirety. Failure to reschedule and begin a new training session within this 60-day time frame will result in forfeiture of the related registration and registration payment(s). Should you reschedule and miss a significant portion or a full training after rescheduling, your opportunity to retake the training for certification under the same registration and registration payment will be forfeited. You must apply to the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) and be approved prior to offering training. Upon approval, the training must be offered at your organization for the required time frame of 4 hours.
